Thank you for visiting my page.
I'm a self-taught photographer who has lived most of my life in Bengaluru, India. I returned to my home town in 1994 after completing a Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Texas A & M University, Kingsville, TX. I started my photographic journey in New York in the early ’90s and the journey continues with much more passion and vigour these days. Few of my favourite places are Gujarat, Kenya, Tanzania, South Africa, Assam, Rajasthan, and the forests of the western ghat – not too far from Bengaluru.
I like story-telling with my photographs through books and do follow a fine art style, that appeals to ‘photo-art’ collectors. I love to work with exclusive black and white forms for ‘photo-art’, though colour features strongly in my books.
I am a dedicated SONY (switched from Canon) user along with Manfrotto & Gitzo tripod supports. Incidentally, I am also the brand ambassador for SONY & Manfrotto; and a member of the exclusive GITZO Club of international photographers.

Out of my four coffee-table books, “Gujarat’s Vibrant Wildlife”, “Kutch – A Pictorial Journey” and “Rural Footprints – Empowering Women, Enriching Lives” were commissioned by the Government of Gujarat. “Dream Safari – A Pictorial Journey through Africa’s Cradle of Life” is available for sale along with “Bandipur” & “Kabini” pocketbooks.
I offer a range of fine art photographic prints in both B&W and colour, unframed & produced using highest quality substrate viz., Hahnemuhle Fine Art canvas & paper. Each print is individually numbered and signed by me, accompanied with a Certificate of Authenticity
To all aspiring photographers, I would only say that ‘keep shooting’ and ‘keep learning’ – there is never an end for learning. Do share your learnings. Please ensure that the subject you just photographed is always safe in its original environs long after you have left it there.

I am never bored when I am filled with activities. Never shy to take up a challenge, a photography project is always welcome.
From TEDx talks to sensitising corporate professionals, school children, photography enthusiasts; I am always eager to share my knowledge & experience to further the cause of spreading awareness through the visual medium.
I am always keen to share my experiences and knowledge through focussed sessions and would be happy to guide any budding photography enthusiast to achieve more than what I have.
Accompanying a group of photographers to help them better their skills is accomplished through hands-on workshops, conducted both indoors and outdoors through photo-walks, guided tours and safari expeditions.
It gives me immense pleasure to be working closely with SONY Digital Imaging as their “Ambassador”. I truly believe that SONY is a leader in technology innovation; and it is showing up. More will happen as we get into the year 2020. Watch this space.
My favourite brand in photography. I am an ardent fan of products created by Manfrotto and use their tripods, camera bags, etc.; and being a member on their exclusive club of renowned photographers is not just gratifying, but thoroughly enjoyable.
Being associated with an iconic cinematorgrapher, filmmaker, director and mentor viz., Rajiv Menon is a privilege and honour. I teach photography to cinematography students, and travel as a mentor on their outdoor & landscape workshops.
You learn only when you travel with a mentor - a statement apt for the ingenuity that Travel Unbounded brings to the table. I have had the privilege of traveling as a mentor on many a tour with them, and the interactions with enthusiastic & budding photographers has been the most joyful & fulfilling experience.
